Auto Recalls For Consumers

About Us

Arfc.org (Auto Recalls For Consumers) provides current recall notices & information with data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Office of Defects Investigation (ODI).

The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) is an office within the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). ODI conducts defect investigations and administers safety recalls to support the NHTSA’s mission to improve safety on our Nation's highways. NHTSA is authorized to order manufacturers to recall and repair vehicles or items of motor vehicle equipment when ODI investigations indicate that they contain serious safety defects in their design, construction, or performance. ODI also monitors the adequacy of manufacturers' recall campaigns. Before initiating an investigation, ODI carefully reviews the body of consumer complaints and other available data to determine whether a defect trend may exist.

In an effort to provide you, the consumer, with the most current information regarding automotive safety recalls, we have designed & created this site to help simplify the search for your specific vehicle, carseat or tires by organizing the data into the following 6 categories:

Within each category, the data is further refined & grouped by the manufacturer as well as the model of the recall in question. In the autos section, we also sort the information by the year of the vehicle to help you find your vehicle as quickly and easily as possible.

The database of recalls is updated regularly with data from the NHTSA. The date of the most recent update is shown at the bottom of each page on this site. We hope you find arfc.org to be useful and informative. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to email us at webmaster[at]arfc.org.

Please note - The information provided on this website is for informational purposes only. We are unable to guarantee its accuracy or validity.
