I does not understand why my Cts 2006 does not member of this recall....

6/7/2010 - John P Boxall
Good car, my first Cadillac. I have a few problems though. I am looking at recalls due to a funny thing that has happened 3-4 times,
when idling forward and I engage the brake, it has made a noise (ABS perhaps)and the brakes kind of fail as the brake pedal almost goes to the floor. The sensation I get is that a braking system valve seems to bleed off allowing the pedal to advance too far. It has only happened at very low speeds and seems to fix itself afterwards. I have checked the fluid level and examined pavement for fluid loss but nothing. I have read recall #10V105000 3/17/10 and think that this might be the recall to repair my car's problems.

If you could shed any light on this problem< it would be appreciated.

Do you drive a 2006 CADILLAC CTS?

Just because a car has been recalled does not mean it is not a reliable car. Millions of cars get recalled every year. Recalls often involve problems that are rare but could cause a serious problem if they occur. So the risk to any given driver is often remote, even though there may be a few high-profile incidents traced to the problem.

Tell us what you think.
