Why are police cars the only chargers that have been recalled for the faulty wiring that causes all 2011 and 2012 charger headlights to blow at some point and dealers want to charge almost 300.00 dollars to fix an apparent manufacturing problem!!!!

my daughter drives a 2011 dodge charger with no driverside headlight. she took it to a dealership and was told the harness was fried but they would not stand good for the replacement. if the harness is fried, that was not her fault. that sounds like a manufacture issue. this is very dangerous for her and her family and not to mention other drivers. she was told that the only recall for this problem is with the police vehicles. is this not a safety issue for both vehicles. my daughter and grandkids are at a great risk ,same as a police car. please fix this for her

Do you drive a 2012 DODGE CHARGER?

Just because a car has been recalled does not mean it is not a reliable car. Millions of cars get recalled every year. Recalls often involve problems that are rare but could cause a serious problem if they occur. So the risk to any given driver is often remote, even though there may be a few high-profile incidents traced to the problem.
