RECALL FOR SUSPENSION : REAR : AXLE : NON-POWERED AXLE ASSEMBLY
Freedom Motors Inc., (Freedom Motors) of Savaria Vehicle Group (formerly The Liberty Motor Company) is recalling one model year 2009 Volkswagen Routan and certain model year 2008-2010 Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country wheelchair accessible vehicles modified by The Liberty Motor Company from February 2008 through January 2011. Over time and with use, the vehicle's rear axle may develop cracks which could lead to axle failure.

Freedom Motors Inc., (Freedom Motors) of Savaria Vehicle Group (formerly The Liberty Motor Company) is recalling one model year 2009 Volkswagen Routan and certain model year 2008-2010 Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country wheelchair accessible vehicles modified by The Liberty Motor Company from February 2008 through January 2011. Over time and with use, the vehicle's rear axle may develop cracks which could lead to axle failure. |

Failure of the rear axle may increase the risk of a crash. |
| Corrective action |
Freedom Motors will notify owners, and dealers will replace the affected axles, free of charge. The recall began on April 1, 2014. Owners can contact Freedom Motors at 1-800-561-9600. Freedom Motors' number for this recall is ENGF0216-3. |

Bought the SXT Grand Caravan in July and had it modified for handicap use. It's been very reliable and fun to drive. Wanted the 4.0l, but couldn't find one on any lot. Got the 3.8l w/6 speed. Still decent mileage (17-23) and plenty of power. Now have 10K miles and no problems.

I want to purchase a 2009 Grand Caravan this week. The vuhicle only has 56,000 k/s on it. I asked about the warranty? They want to only give me the power train warranty. What do I need to do to cover myself about the brake and wiring recalls?

2009 built very very cheap ( due to cost saving ) with many irritating problems, no help from dealer!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love it - except we've had a problem with the doors since the day we bought it. It just doesn't happen consistently. Hopefully this recall will take care of it and we will love our van even more!
