Description Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2005-2007 and 2009-2010 Toyota Sienna vehicles. In the affected vehicles, due to a problem within the shift lock assembly, the shift lever may be moved out of the 'Park' position without depressing the brake pedal.
Consequences If the shift lever can be moved from the "Park" position without depressing the brake pedal and the parking brake is not applied, the vehicle may roll, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective action Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will replace the shift lock solenoid and reapply the grease, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin December 1, 2017. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's number for this recall is H0V. Vehicles that were previously recalled under campaign 13V-429 are not affected by this recall.

Yes, I did have the lift gate problem and did have it repaired w/out any problems. I am experiencing a clicking noise coming from the dash and glove box. I was wondering what this could be and has anyone else experienced it. In my research I have found that someone described the same exact problem in a camry. It drives me nuts and I would like to know if it could possibly be a recall as well. I love my van and I will buy another one when the time is right.

Do you drive a 2005 TOYOTA SIENNA?

Just because a car has been recalled does not mean it is not a reliable car. Millions of cars get recalled every year. Recalls often involve problems that are rare but could cause a serious problem if they occur. So the risk to any given driver is often remote, even though there may be a few high-profile incidents traced to the problem.
