SUMMARY:
SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS
DESCRIPTION:
A HYDRAULIC BRAKE LINE AND/OR BRAKE PAD IS MISSING IN EITHER THE PRIMARY OR SECONDARY SYSTEM.
CONSEQUENCE:
SHOULD A BRAKE LINE OR BRAKE PAD BE MISSING, IT CAN CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO PULL TO THE RIGHT OR LEFT WHEN APPLY THE BRAKES RESULTING IN A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN VEHICLE STOPPING DISTANCE.
CORRECTIVE ACTION:
DEALERS WILL INSPECT FOR MISSING BRAKE LINES AND BRAKE PADS AND INSTALL ANY PARTS THAT ARE MISSING.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION:HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS SOLD ONLY TO UNITED PARCEL SERVICE (UPS). OWNER NOTIFICATION:OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN OCTOBER 15, 1996.
