TL CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO. WHEN SHE ATTEMPTED TO START THE VEHICLE IT WOULD NOT START. SHE CALLED AAA TO START THE VEHICLE AND WAS ADVISED THAT SHE NEEDED A STARTER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP AND THE STARTER WAS REPLACED. AFTER THE STARTER WAS REPLACED THE FAILURE RECURRED A MONTH LATER. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO REPLACED THE BODY CONTROL MODULE. THE FAILURE OCCURRED AGAIN AND SHE CURRENTLY HAS A DIAGNOSTIC TESTING APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 63,400. UPDATED 10/21/10. THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE HAS FAILED TO START ON SIX OCCASIONS. THE PASS KEY LOCK SYSTEM WAS THE PROBLEM, BUT CHEVROLET WOULD NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. UPDATED 10/26/10
