THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN HE ATTEMPTED TO START THE VEHICLE, THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT EXPLODED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE ENGINE WAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD SEND OUT AN ENGINEER TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 180,000.
