THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO. WHEN THE CONTACT TURNED THE IGNITION TO THE ON POSITION, THE ENGINE EXPLODED WITHOUT WARNING. PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, THE CONTACT HEARD ABNORMAL NOISES COMING FROM THE ENGINE WHEN STARTING THE VEHICLE IN BELOW ZERO TEMPERATURES. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,000.
