WHILE DRIVING ELECTRICAL SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED AND CAUSED THE STEERING TO FAIL AND THE VEHICLE TO STALL. THE VEHICLES BRAKES ALSO MALFUNCTIONED.

ALARM SYSTEM SOUNDS OFF EVERY TIME IT RAINS. THE HORN WOULD ACTIVATE WHEN IT RAINED. THE HEATER BLOWER CAME ON ALTHOUGH THE KEY WAS NOT IN THE IGNITION. THE RADIO CAME ON BY ITSELF. AS A RESULT THE BATTERY WOULD BECOME DRAINED. THE CONSUMER REMOVED THE HORN AND RADIO FUSE.

UNDER HOOD/UNDER DASH VEHICLE FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED 45 MINUTES BEFORE THE FIRE OCCURRED. THE CONSUMER HEARD A LOUD BANG AND FOUND FLAMES COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD AND UNDER THE DASH. THE VEHICLE WAS SHUT OFF AND THE KEY WAS IN THE OFF POSITION AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT. THE INVESTIGATOR SUGGESTED THAT THE FIRE WAS CAUSED BY THE HEATER.

TIRE FAILED ON ASPHALT, NO LOAD, NO WARNING. TOTAL SEPARATION , ONLY BEAD THE TIRE TREAD LEFT. NO ROAD HAZARD AT TIME. SAME AS TWO PREVIOUS FIRESTONES TIRES, NOT THE SAME TYPE OR YEAR. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: DIESEL WOULD DIE OUT FOR A FEW SECONDS, THEN CAME BACK ON BY ITSELF. LOSS OF STEERING AND ALL POWER DURING LOST POWER OR CURVES AND HILLS. FORD REPROGRAMMED COMPUTER AFTER SEVERAL VISITS THERE.
