THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 HONDA ACCORD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENDLY ACCELERATED INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT ENAGED THE BRAKES BUT THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. AFTER A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF TIME, THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO SHIFT INTO PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 165,000.
