DT: THE WIRING HARNESS RUBBED THE CHASSIS WHICH RESULTED IN THE WIRES MELTING AND EXPOSING THEM WHICH ALMOST CAUSED A FIRE. SMOKE CAME FROM UNDER THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FROM THE FUSE BOX AREA. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP AND FIXED. THE REAR WIPER DIDN'T WORK BECAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. THE DEALER STATED THERE WAS A MAJOR SHORT IN THE WIRING HARNESS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE IN TWO DIFFERENT LOCATIONS.
