- THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE, AND STATED THAT THE SEATS OVERHEATED, HE COULD SMELL ELECTRICAL WIRING BURNING FROM THE SEAT. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER ABOUT NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER : 06V197000 ,AND THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THIS VEHICLE WOULDN'T BE COVERED UNDER THE RECALL BECAUSE IT WAS MANUFACTURED IN AUGUST OF 2002, AND RECALL BEGAN FOR VEHICLES MANUFACTURED ON SEPTEMBER 2002.
