THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A SNAPPING SOUND FROM UNDER THE SEAT AND NOTICED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE SEAT BEGAN TO ROCK BACK AND FORTH ABNORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING WHERE THE TECHNICIAN ADVISED THAT THE ADJUSTER WELD TO THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE SEAT WAS FRACTURED AND WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
