THIS SERVES AS AN ADDENDUM TO OUR (AND MANY OTHERS') COMPLAINTS. THE CHRYSLER TSB THAT YOU HAVE ON FILE, ONLY LISTS THE AFFECTED SYSTEMS AS "VISIBILITY", AND IT CALLS FOR REPAIR (?) WHEN IT ACTUALLY SPECIFIES REPLACEMENT AS THE ONLY RECOMMENDED REMEDY, AT A TYPICAL COST OF $2,500; TO BE PROVIDED OR REIMBURSED TO A SMALL SELECT GROUP OF OWNERS, EVEN THOUGH THIS FAILURE CONTINUES TO OCCUR NATIONWIDE. THIS IS ABSURD. WE SHOULD NOTE THAT THE TERM "STRUCTURE" AS AN "AFFECTED PART" NO LONGER APPEARS IN YOUR E-MAIL COMPLAINT FORM (WE WONDER WHY?) ALL MODERN CONVERTIBLE ROOF TOPS AND WINDOWS ARE INTENDED AND DESIGNED FOR SAFE, LONG TERM USE IN ANY EXPECTED DRIVING CONDITIONS, THUS THE USE OF DOT APPROVED SAFETY GLASS AND ELECTRONIC REAR WINDOW DEFROSTERS, ESPECIALLY WHEN CONDITIONS REQUIRE THE ROOF TOP TO BE IN THE "UP" POSITION. THE NEGATIVE RESULTS OF ANY WINDOW DETACHMENT, VISIBILITY, STABILITY OF THE VEHICLE, SAFE REACTION BY THE DRIVER, WEATHER PROTECTION, ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTION ETC., BOTH IMMEDIATE AND POTENTIAL LONG TERM, IN A CASE WHERE THE VEHICLE MUST STILL BE DRIVEN ANY UNKNOWN DISTANCE UNPROTECTED FROM WHATEVER CONDITIONS POSSIBLE, MAY WELL PROVE CATASTROPHIC AND MUST BE CONSIDERED COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE BY ANY STANDARD, ESPECIALLY THAT OF OUR U.S. GOVERNMENT. YOUR PUBLICATION (DOT HS 808 795) STATES: "SIMILARLY A PERSON MAY.. PETITION (REQUEST) NHTSA TO HOLD A HEARING ON WHETHER A MANUFACTURER HAS REASONABLY MET ITS OBLIGATION TO NOTIFY AND/OR REMEDY A SAFETY DEFECT OR NONCOMPLIANCE WITH A FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD. IF THE PETITION IS GRANTED, A HEARING IS HELD TO ASSESS THE MATTER AND DECIDE WHAT CORRECTIVE ACTION SHOULD BE TAKEN. IF THE PETITION (REQUEST) IS DENIED, THE REASONS FOR THE DENIAL ARE PUBLISHED IN THE FEDERAL REGISTER". AT THE VERY MINIMUM, CHRYSLER HAD AN OBLIGATION TO NOTIFY ALL OF THE POTENTIAL (& INEVITABLE) FAILURE! PLEASE HELP.

I HAVE A 2005 CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLE I AM HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE REAR WINDOW IN THE TOP, IN NOV 2013 I NOTICE A SEPARATION OF THE TOP FROM THE REAR WINDOW AND TRIED TO GLUE IT CLOSED. AT THE TIME IT WAS A 1" GAP I WAS ABLE TO SEAL IT .NOW THE WINDOW HAS FELL OUT COMPLETELY. I CALL MY CHRYSLER DEALER (931-520-4121 IN COOKEVILLE ,TN) AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULDN'T FIX BECAUSE THE CAR CAME FROM MICHIGAN, IF IT HAD CAME FROM A SOUTHERN STATE THEY WOULD FIX ???. ITS A GOOD THING IT FELL OUT IN THE DRIVE WAY IN STEAD OF FLYING OUT AT INTERSTATE SPEEDS OR DURING A PANIC STOP OR COLLISION. THE GLASS IS REALLY HEFTY AND COULD KILL SOMEONE IF STRUCK BY IT . MY CAR NOW ONLY HAS 51,000 MILES NOW. I FEEL AS A SAFETY CONCERN FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC THIS MATTER SHOULD BE ADDRESS IN A TIMELY MANNER THANK YOU DAN DAY

THE CONVERTIBLE TOP BACK GLASS CAME UNGLUED AND FELL OUT THIS CAR ONLY HAS 29,000 MILES THE TOP AND THE CAR ARE IN LIKE NEW CONDITION BUT CHRYSLER WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.THIS CAR WAS SOLD NEW IN MICHIGAN SO IT IS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY. I LIVE IN NORTH CAROLINA WHERE IT WOULD BE WARRANTIED IF IT WAS SOLD NEW HERE.THIS CAR WAS BUILT IN GERMANY AND THE US SELLING POINT SHOULD NOT BE AN ISSUE. THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM THIS SAME PROBLEM AND TO HAVE TO SPEND $3000.00 DOLLARS TO REPAIR THIS WHEN CHRYSLER IS ALREADY FIXING OTHERS IS JUST CRIMINAL.

REAR WINDOW BECAME COMPLETELY DETACHED (LOOSE) FROM THE MOUNTING SURFACE. HAVING THE CHRYSLER GROUP SERVICE BULLETIN (23035-11 REV A) ON FILE, WHICH SPECIFIES A 10YR/100,000 MI. WARRANTY EXTENSION (2005 MODEL) ALONG WITH AN AMPLE AMOUNT OF EVIDENCE THAT THIS DEFECT HAS OCCURRED IN ALL REGIONS OF THE U.S., TO A VEHICLE THAT WAS IMPORTED FROM ONLY ONE SOURCE IN GERMANY; WHY HAS THE NHTSA FAILED TO REQUIRE THE CHRYSLER GROUP TO COVER ALL OF THE AFFECTED VEHICLES REGARDLESS OF WHICH STATE THEY WERE FIRST SOLD IN???
