THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD TAURUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL BECAME STUCK, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO ACCELERATE INDEPENDENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 110,000. .. UPDATED 02-07-13 THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN REPAIRED. THE CRUISE CONTROL CABLE ON THE THROTTLE BODY DETACHED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY REATTACHING THE CABLE WITH A CLIP.
