THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD TAURUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 30 MPH, THE RPM INCREASED TO 4,500 AND THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED. THE VEHICLE WAS PLACED INTO NEUTRAL AND THEN FUNCTIONED NORMALLY. THE FAILURE WAS EXPERIENCED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 63,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 65,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
