TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT WAS NOT EXPERIENCING A FAILURE UNTIL IT WAS REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 05V344000 (AIR BAGS). SHORTLY AFTER THE DEALER'S REPAIR, THE AIR BAG LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TO BE TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER FOR FURTHER INSPECTION TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS AWAITING INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE MANUFACTURER TO DETERMINE IF THE DEALER WOULD BE ABLE TO REPAIR THE CONDITION. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000.
