DURING HEAVY RAIN WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, THE ABS SYSTEM ENGAGED WITHOUT ANY USE OF THE BRAKES CAUSING THE CAR TO PULL FROM SIDE TO SIDE AS THE ABS SYSTEM APPLIED ALTERNATING BRAKES. THIS REPEATED AT LEAST 4 TIMES DURING A 1.5 TO 2 HOUR HIGHWAY DRIVE. ONCE OFF THE HIGHWAY AT A LOWER SPEED THE PROBLEM DID NOT HAPPEN AGAIN. I BROUGHT THE CAR INTO THE DEALER FOR SERVICE. THEY COULD NOT IDENTIFY AND DID NOT TRY TO RECREATE THE PROBLEM. I HAVE AVOIDED HIGHWAY DRIVING IN HEAVY RAIN AND HAVE NOT HAD THE PROBLEM AGAIN. WHEN TAKING THE CAR IN TO THE DEALER FOR AN OIL CHANGE THE OTHER DAY, THEY INSISTED ON INSTALLING A BLACK BOX WITH RED BUTTON. THE SYSTEM IS MASKING TAPED TO THE DASH OF MY CAR AND THE BUTTON IS IN MY CUP HOLDER. I HAVE BEEN INSTRUCT TO PRESS THE RED BUTTON IF THE PROBLEM HAPPENS AGAIN. HOWEVER, IF IT DOES HAPPEN I MUST KEEP BOTH HANDS ON THE WHEEL.
