TL CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA PRIUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHENEVER THE FRONT WHEELS BEGAN TO SPIN IN ICY OR SNOWY CONDITIONS, THE ENGINE COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. THE FAILURE OCCURRED MULTIPLE TIMES WHILE TRYING TO DRIVE UP A HILL OR AN INCLINED DRIVEWAY. THE DEALER INSPECTED THE FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND WAS UNABLE TO FIND THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DESIGNED IN SUCH A WAY THAT THE ENGINE WOULD TURN OFF TO AVOID DAMAGING THE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 36,000. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 2,000. UPDATED 3/16/10 UPDATED 06/29/10
