TL CONTACT OWNS A 2008 JEEP LIBERTY. HE STATED THAT HE HAD TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY TO TOW THE VEHICLE BEHIND A MOBILE HOME, PER MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. AS A RESULT, THERE IS NO POWER AND THE AUXILIARY BRAKING SYSTEM WAS INOPERABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AUXILIARY BRAKING SYSTEM HAS TO BE OPERABLE PER STATE LAW. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT HE MUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS REGARDLESS OF THE LAW. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 500 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE 10. UPDATED 03/06/08.
