THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 SUBARU IMPREZA WRX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE EXPERIENCED DIFFICULTY SHIFTING GEARS AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY BROKE LOOSE FROM ITS WELD. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
