TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND REMAINED ON. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V352000 (AIR BAGS) HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 94,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.

VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY. AFTER FLASH UPDATE ON TIPM. TIPM FAILURE OCCURRED CAUSING STARTER TO "FRY". THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT HAS HAD MANY COMPLAINTS. THIS CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS ON VEHICLES WHILE IN MOTION. CAN'T BELIEVE THE NHTSA FAILED TO INVESTIGATE AFTER ALL THE COMPLAINTS RECEIVED.

TAKATA RECALL - I HAVE OWNED THE JEEP NEW SINCE MARCH 2010. NOVEMBER 2010 I WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT THAT DID APPROXIMATELY $16,000 WORK ON DAMAGES. THE ACCIDENT WAS ON THE LEFT FRONT CORNER AND DID ENOUGH DAMAGE TO SNAP THE FRONT AXEL AND BEND THE FRAME. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY DURING THE ACCIDENT. I AM STILL CURRENTLY DRIVING THE JEEP AND HAVE CONCERNS SINCE RECEIVING THE RECALL NOTICE JULY OF THIS YEAR. ATTACHED IS A PHOTO OF THE BROKEN AXEL AND ONE OF THE SUPPLEMENTS FOR THE INSURANCE COMPANY, BUT NOT THE FINAL ONE. I CAN PROVIDE MORE INFORMATION IF NEEDED. THANKS YOU.

"TAKATA RECALL" S43/NHTSA 16V-352 RECEIVED THIS NOTICE OF RECALL IN JULY 2016. CALLED DEALER WHO INDICATED PARTS WERE BEING MANUFACTURED AND WOULD TAKE ABOUT 2 MONTHS TO RECEIVE. SEPTEMBER 2016, CALLED DEALER AND THE TIMELINE FOR PARTS IS MAYBE NEXT YEAR. CALLED FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES (FCA) IN JULY AND AGAIN IN SEPTEMBER. THEY HAVE NO TIMELINE FOR THE PARTS TO ARRIVE. THEY HAVE NO OPTIONS TO GIVE US EXCEPT FOR DRIVING THE JEEP AT OUR OWN RISK OR PARK IT. THE FCA RECORDING AND THE PERSON WITH WHOM WE SPOKE ARE PASSING THE BUCK...THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO. IT APPEARS TO BE MORE OF A DISCLAIMER. WE WERE TOLD THAT THERE HAVE NOT BEEN TOO MANY INCIDENTS WITH THESE TAKATA AIR BAGS AND NO DEATHS. THIS IS CONTRARY TO THE NATIONAL NEWS AND REASON FOR THE RECALL.

TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THERE MAY BE AN UPCOMING RECALL TO ADDRESS THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V352000 (AIR BAGS). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT AN ORC MODULE FOR THE AIR BAGS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED UNDER THE RECALL, BUT NO DIAGNOSTIC CODES WERE FOUND. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V352000 (AIR BAGS). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO USE THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT, THE SEAT BELT WOULD NOT LATCH TO SECURE THE CONTACT. THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. ALSO, WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE FUEL CAP WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, BUT THE DETAILS OF THE DIAGNOSIS COULD NOT BE PROVIDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000.
