Complaint - Service Brakes

THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 TOYOTA PRIUS. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO ABNORMALLY DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL INTO THE FLOORBOARD. THE ABS WARNING, TRACTION CONTROL WARNING AND THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. AFTER CONTINUALLY DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP. THE FAILURE RECURRED FOUR DIFFERENT TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE TECHNICIAN ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE BRAKE POWER BOOSTER WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED BUT DID NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE BOOSTER WAS THE ACTUAL CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
