2011 FORD F-150. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR MALFUNCTION. THE CONSUMER STATED WHEN THE BLEND DOOR FAILED, THE HVAC SYSTEM WOULD BLOW HOT AIR INTO THE CABIN. THE CONSUMER STATED THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM WAS THE BLEND DOORS GEAR TEETH BECOMING BRITTLE UNDER NORMAL WORKING CONDITIONS AND SHEARING OFF, WHICH PREVENTED THE ACTUATION OF THE BLEND DOOR AND THEN IT BECAME SPRING LOADED TO A FULL TEMPERATURE CONDITION. THE BLEND DOOR FAILED ON FOUR SEPARATE OCCASIONS.
