THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE WAS REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE, WHICH CAUSED SEVERAL WARNING LIGHTS TO BECOME ILLUMINATED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE LOWER BACK AND NECK, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE CRASH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO GO INTO LIMP MODE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE (TIPM) NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,000.
