THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V024000 (AIR BAGS). THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALER (AUTONATION FORD IN HOUSTON, TEXAS) CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE CONTACT OVERCORRECTED TO AVOID A CRASH, BUT ENDED UP CRASHING INTO WATER BARRELS ON THE HIGHWAY. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A FRACTURED STERNUM AND BONES AND WAS HOSPITALIZED FOR SEVEN DAYS. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A POLICE IMPOUND LOT, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.

TAKATA RECALL - THE FORD DEALERSHIP LOCATED AT 18255 BEACH BLVD IN HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA HAS REFUSED TO ASSIST WITH GETTING THE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG FIXED PER THE RECALL. EVERY TIME I CALL, THEY DIRECT ME TO FORD HEADQUARTERS TO FILE A COMPLAINT. ACCORDING TO FORD, THEY HAVE NO PLAN IN PLACE TO DO ANYTHING REGARDING THE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG RECALL, AND THERE IS NO ETA ON WHEN THIS WILL BE REPLACED. I HAVE BEEN TRYING SINCE FEB 2017 TO GET THIS FIXED WITH HELP.
