COMPLAINT SUMMARY: SECOND ROW INFLATABLE SEAT BELT STUCK IN OUT POSITION. WILL NOT RETRACT. WILL NOT PULL FORWARD. CONCERN THAT THIS IS A MATERIAL FLAW - SEAT BELT IS TOO THICK AND TOO PLIABLE. DOUBLES OVER IN THE RETRACTOR AND BECOMES NON OPERATIONAL. MAJOR RISK OF INJURY AS THIS CAN HAPPEN WHILE THE SEAT BELT IS IN USE RENDERING THE SEAT BELT INOPERABLE. THIS HAPPENS UNBEKNOWNST TO THE PASSENGER WHO WOULD NOT NOTE THE INOPERABILITY OF THE SEAT BELT AS IT IS VISUALLY BEHIND THE PASSENGER AND NOT IN SIGHT LINE. VEHICLE MANUFACTURED IN CHICAGO

7/30/2014 - QUBA, AL
THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD EXPLORER. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, EXHAUST FUMES ENTERED THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE THROUGH THE AIR CONDITIONING VENTS. THE EXHAUST FUMES WERE THE STRONGEST AT 60 MPH OR HIGHER. THE CONTACT HAD TO REDUCE THE VEHICLE'S SPEED AND OPEN ALL OF THE WINDOWS IN ORDER TO RELEASE THE FUMES. THE FAILURE OCCURRED CONSTANTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 600.

BAD ODOR IN VEHICLE DURING ACCELERATION. SMELLS LIKE ROTTEN EGGS. THIS IS A BRAND NEW AUTO. VERY DISSAPPOINTED. SMELLED IT DURING TEST DRIVE BUT SALESMAN SAID THAT IT WAS CATILIC CONVERTER AND THE SMELL WOULD GO AWAY. IT HAS NOT.

7/25/2014 - CEDAR PARK, TX
FIRST INCIDENT: PARKED CAR AT GAS STATION FUEL PUMP, WHEN WE GOT IN TO MOVE THE CAR IT DID NOT HAVE POWER STEERING. WRESTLED THE CAR TO THE FRONT OF THE GAS STORE AND WENT INSIDE, WHEN WE RETUNED TO THE CAR AND STARTED IT, THE POWER STEERING WORKED. SECOND INCIDENT: JULY 18,2014, SAME THING HAPPENED AFTER A STOP AT A STORE. POWER STEERING COMPLETELY OUT ADVANCE TRACK LIGHT STAYS ON. HAD TO GET TOWED. FIX TOOK FOUR WEEK WORK DAYS. THE INVOICE SAYS EB5Z*3504*A GEAR ASM-STEERING WAS REPLACED.
