My 2012 Chrysler 300 V6 has had no problems (except recalls) until 130,000 miles on it when the alternator suddenly failed. It has the 180 Amp alternator and was not covered under the recall for the 160 Amp alternator, though the failure of the diodes was the same. Very expensive part, but luckily I saved the old alternator and the $500 part cost receipt so I can now get reimbursed under this new recall which I knew would come someday. Awsome car including the engine, 8 speed transmission and the overall ride quality!

My 2012 Chrysler 300 has been exceptionally good. Absolutely zero problems until 8/12/2016. Apparently the alternator failed at 95,000 miles. It was towed to the dealer last Friday night, after hours, so they won't check it out until Monday. It appears that Chrysler recall P60 will cover this repair as it is the V6 with the monostable transmission shifter.

Do you drive a 2012 CHRYSLER 300?

Just because a car has been recalled does not mean it is not a reliable car. Millions of cars get recalled every year. Recalls often involve problems that are rare but could cause a serious problem if they occur. So the risk to any given driver is often remote, even though there may be a few high-profile incidents traced to the problem.
