RECALL FOR AIR BAGS : FRONTAL
FCA US LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2009 Dodge Journey vehicles manufactured December 31, 2007, to August 31, 2008, 2008-2009 Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town and Country vehicles manufactured June 18, 2007, to August 31, 2008. In the affected vehicles, the air bag control units may corrode and fail.

| Description |
FCA US LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2009 Dodge Journey vehicles manufactured December 31, 2007, to August 31, 2008, 2008-2009 Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town and Country vehicles manufactured June 18, 2007, to August 31, 2008. In the affected vehicles, the air bag control units may corrode and fail. |
| Consequences |
If the air bag control unit fails, the air bags may not deploy in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of occupant injury. Additionally, the air bags may inadvertently deploy, increasing the risk of a crash. |
| Corrective action |
Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the air bag control unit, free of charge. The recall began on December 6, 2016. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is S07. |

Bought the SXT Grand Caravan in July and had it modified for handicap use. It's been very reliable and fun to drive. Wanted the 4.0l, but couldn't find one on any lot. Got the 3.8l w/6 speed. Still decent mileage (17-23) and plenty of power. Now have 10K miles and no problems.

I want to purchase a 2009 Grand Caravan this week. The vuhicle only has 56,000 k/s on it. I asked about the warranty? They want to only give me the power train warranty. What do I need to do to cover myself about the brake and wiring recalls?

2009 built very very cheap ( due to cost saving ) with many irritating problems, no help from dealer!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love it - except we've had a problem with the doors since the day we bought it. It just doesn't happen consistently. Hopefully this recall will take care of it and we will love our van even more!
