I owned a 1999 Ford Expedition. That I just got an inccident on Monday, October 29,2012 while I was driving my vehicle start a smoke from the back and later on catched on fire. It's a total lost. now I'm waiting on my insurance company what they have to say. I would like to have more information about this recall.

Do you drive a 1999 FORD EXPEDITION?

Just because a car has been recalled does not mean it is not a reliable car. Millions of cars get recalled every year. Recalls often involve problems that are rare but could cause a serious problem if they occur. So the risk to any given driver is often remote, even though there may be a few high-profile incidents traced to the problem.
