a recall is simply that a recall, it is a manufactures way of repairing a problem before it becomes a greater problem, unlike Toyota and VW and a whole lot of other off shore manufactures GM and Ford are able and willing to take the high road and take care of the problems so I will stick to my American vehicles

2/3/2011 - ACE
I think the automatic transmission Sierras have the same problem.

Do you drive a 2002 GMC SIERRA?

Just because a car has been recalled does not mean it is not a reliable car. Millions of cars get recalled every year. Recalls often involve problems that are rare but could cause a serious problem if they occur. So the risk to any given driver is often remote, even though there may be a few high-profile incidents traced to the problem.

Tell us what you think.
