My control arm snapped a few weeks on my home from work. I got the car towed and was told by the mechanic the arm snapped due to corrosion. I just found out about the recall as I was surfing the internet. My question is, can I get reimbursed for the the repairs that were done on my Elantra and how do i go about it?

Do you drive a 2003 HYUNDAI ELANTRA?

Just because a car has been recalled does not mean it is not a reliable car. Millions of cars get recalled every year. Recalls often involve problems that are rare but could cause a serious problem if they occur. So the risk to any given driver is often remote, even though there may be a few high-profile incidents traced to the problem.
