I have a 2002 Mountianeer,4.0 liter sohc, rear wheel drive, Have had to replace The Gem Modual, Rear Hubs and bearing, front hubs and bearings,Upper and lower ball joints, Electric window motors, Rear tail Gate Lock control unit twice, front sterering arms, A/C motor, A/C cumputer modual,Universal Joints,Rotors, Calipers,on all 4 wheels,ABS sensor, and only have 86,000 oridginal miles on the vehicle, I purchased it brand new.am the only owner. This Vhicle has turned out to be very unreliable.

Do you drive a 2002 MERCURY MOUNTAINEER?

Just because a car has been recalled does not mean it is not a reliable car. Millions of cars get recalled every year. Recalls often involve problems that are rare but could cause a serious problem if they occur. So the risk to any given driver is often remote, even though there may be a few high-profile incidents traced to the problem.
