I purchased a 1999 Mercury Sable new. I still own this car and I don't know why. It has been riddled with problems from the very first day. I have replaced the front rotors and pads countless times. Replaced the vehicle speed sensors twice. A/C has developed a leak and no longer works. The low blow is now the transmission has developed a leak and the car is no longer driveable. I previously owned Toyotas, Nissans and Hondas and never had all these problems. I also own a 1992 Honda Civic with nearly 150,000 miles on it and it's still going strong.

Do you drive a 1999 MERCURY SABLE?

Just because a car has been recalled does not mean it is not a reliable car. Millions of cars get recalled every year. Recalls often involve problems that are rare but could cause a serious problem if they occur. So the risk to any given driver is often remote, even though there may be a few high-profile incidents traced to the problem.
