I drive a 2004 Altima which was never recalled for the crank sensor. I had less than 50,000 miles when my car stalled for no apparent reason as I was driving. The car was repaired at my expense with a crank sensor. 3 Months later I need a Cam sensor also where the car stalled while driving. Why would some Altima's be part of a recall and mind not. I purchased it in the fall of 2003, which appears to be in the time line of this recall. I feel I was taken with these repairs. Nissan should of repair for nothing since these cars have a problem. Thanks for providing this information to the public regarding recalls.

Do you drive a 2004 NISSAN ALTIMA?

Just because a car has been recalled does not mean it is not a reliable car. Millions of cars get recalled every year. Recalls often involve problems that are rare but could cause a serious problem if they occur. So the risk to any given driver is often remote, even though there may be a few high-profile incidents traced to the problem.
