let me get this straight,,, pontiac/gm is NOT replacing the faulty ignition SWITCH, they are ONLY REPLACING THE KEYS??? how exactly is this going to fix the problem again?? are they extra special lightweight keys?? are they serious?? and theese dumbarses want us to buy a car from them?? were any of their mechanics included on this discussion...SO IF I USE A DIFFERENT KEY THE SWITCH WONT BE DEFECTIVE ANYMORE??? WHAT KIND OF LAWSUITS CAN WE BRING ON THEM FOR DOING A RECALL AND NOT REALLY FIXING THEIR PROBLEM, AND PEOPLE KEEP DYING?? maybe if they remove the leather from steering wheels their power steering recall will be fixed also!! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha

Do you drive a 2005 PONTIAC GRAND AM?

Just because a car has been recalled does not mean it is not a reliable car. Millions of cars get recalled every year. Recalls often involve problems that are rare but could cause a serious problem if they occur. So the risk to any given driver is often remote, even though there may be a few high-profile incidents traced to the problem.
