RECALL FOR EQUIPMENT : RECREATIONAL VEHICLE/TRAILER : LPG SYSTEMS

THE REFRIGERATOR SERVICE COMPARTMENT DOOR MAY NOT BE OF SUFFICIENT SIZE TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE VENTILATION FOR LIQUID PROPANE GAS IN THE EVENT OF A LEAK IN THE COMPARTMENT. THIS GAS IS HEAVIER THAN AIR AND TENDS TO POCKET BELOW THE LEVEL OF THE LOUVERS, THUS NECESSITATING AN ADDITIONAL VENT OPENING IN THE FLOOR OF THE COMPARTMENT TO DRAIN OFF ANY ACCUMULATED GAS POCKETS.

Corrective action AN ADDITIONAL VENT OPENING WILL BE INSTALLED TO DRAIN OFF ANY ACCUMULATED GAS POCKETS.
Notes VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: TRAVEL TRAILERS AND MOTORHOMES.SYSTEM: L.P. GAS SYSTEMS.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: THIS CONDITION PRESENTS A FIRE HAZARD AND IN THE EVENTOF A FIRE, PERSONAL INJURY COULD RESULT.NOTE: THE L.P. GAS SYSTEM IN THE TRAILER SHOULD BE TURNED OFF UNTIL THE DEFECTHAS BEEN CORRECTED.
