RECALL FOR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM : PROPULSION SYSTEM : TRACTION BATTERY

Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2023 FCCC MT50e vans. An insufficient connection in the battery pack may cause the battery management system to shut down unexpectedly.

Description Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2023 FCCC MT50e vans. An insufficient connection in the battery pack may cause the battery management system to shut down unexpectedly.
Consequences An unexpected shut down can result in a sudden loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective action Dealers will replace the battery packs, as necessary, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed January 17, 2023. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL-960.
