| Description |
PACCAR Incorporated (PACCAR) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Kenworth T680 tractor trailers. The mud flap may contact the fuel tank while the vehicle is in motion, creating wear on the fuel tank over time. |
| Consequences |
Excessive wear of the fuel tank may allow fuel to spill on the roadway, which can increase the risk of a crash or injury. |
| Corrective action |
Dealers will inspect the fuel tank and install an anti-sail device to prevent the mud flap from contacting the fuel tank, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters informing owners of the safety risk were mailed October 03, 2022. A second notice will be sent once remedy parts become available.
