2005 IMPALA ABOUT 7 MONTHS AGO THE HORN STARTED TO GET WEAKER AND WEAKER UNTIL IN THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS IT JUST QUIT. WHEN IT STARTED THE VEHICLE WAS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD AND PURCHASED NEW IT HAD 72K PLUS MILES TO DATE AT THE TIME THERE WERE APPROX 61K MILES ON THE VEHICLE. IN TEXAS PART OF THE STATE INSPECTION IS TO HAVE AN OPERABLE HORN, BOTH THE HORNS IN FRONT HAD TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF $325. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE MANUFACTURES WARRANTY DUE TO THE NUMBER OF MILES. BUT AGAIN FOR STATE INSPECTIONS THIS IS A SAFETY RELATED PART.
