2021 RAM 2500- ANTELOPE, CA
There is a known issue with the Ram Power Wagon locking differential system where the electronic locking differential wiring harness will fault one of three ways. The first being that the wiring harness is two short so when the rear axle articulates there isn't enough slack therefore causing the plug in the diff housing to fail. The second is that sensor inside the housing faults due to gear oil build up on the sensor. Finally the third if the locker wiring inside the housing wears out causes the locker to fault. Any of these three issues causes a "Service Axle Locker System" and prevents the front and rear lockers to be used indefinitely. This can cause the truck to become stuck during off pavement driving.

The cylinder that deploys the side curtain on the back passenger side spontaneously blew up in my truck. The vehicle was not currently being operated or on at the time is was parked in the driveway and was completely off. There was no forced entry and no collision it just spontaneously exploded causing roof damage, electrical damage, ceiling damage and cab light damage. The vehicle is currently parked at the dealership and has been verified by dealership that it was a mechanical malfunction with the airbag cylinder. There was no warnings that I was aware of before it exploded since it was just sitting in the driveway but from the information that was given to me by the dealerships this was an issue that fell under the Takata Airbag recalls in 2021. The only warning lights is when you start it up the airbag check system light is on the dashboard. This issue has caused me to never want to put my family in that truck again because thank god none of us were in it when it happened but this could have happened to anyone and thankfully we were not driving down the road or even in the vehicle at all. This is a major safety issue.

2021 RAM PROMASTER- Ruskin, FL
The fuel tank is leaking where the fuel tube goes into the tank. The seal starts to leak and they do not make a replacement seal, you have to replace the entire fuel tank. This is the 2nd Promaster van that I have had and the 2nd time this has happened. This is dangerous to have fuel leaking from the front of the vehicle. This is a poor design, it’s a very common problem with these vehicles that still hasn’t been addressed. It’s also an expensive problem because the tank costs $1300 without labor, and you just can’t buy the gasket itself you have to buy the whole tank.

The Future CDJR dealership in Concord, CA failed to remedy FCA safety recall ID 61A / NHTSA Campaign 23V-301 defect and instead introduced a new mechanical binding and shifting failure, creating a severe highway breakdown and rollaway risk. The initial recall repair service of replacing a part (compounder) within the transmission failed. A new transmission was installed and failed as well during vehicle delivery attempt. The vehicle has been with the dealership for 3 weeks at the time of the posting of this complaint. I don't know when or if my vehicle will be roadworthy again.

Since the vehicle was brand new frequently, the transmitter loses communication with the key fob and you cannot start the vehicle. I have been stuck many times for hours trying to get it started. Took it to the dealer three times. They said there is no fix currently and that it's happening to a lot of customers.

I have the active recall associated with the vehicle listed. It’s been nearly 2 years with the active abs service light, traction control light, and inoperative cruise control due to those lights. Stelantis is not very helpful. Will not fixit yet. But says I can pay myself and some or all may be reimbursed. There is no reason it should take this long. Endangering lives potentially. I sent truck pulling all the time. And you buy these things with these safety options that should work. To be taking this long to remedy this. Is unacceptable

I had to get a couple jump starts in one day. then got a diagnosis check it said u1267 then got battery check it said it wasn't charging, check engine light was one after awhile went off. y'all installed the standard battery instead of the agm battery in the ram torque. that's reason for other glitches as well heat an air control getting stuck etc. I had to buy the right battery. BATTERY TO EXPENSIVE NEW

It appears to be a fuel leak. The incident happened less than 200 miles after having a dealer perform the NHTSA recall 22V-406, FCA recall Z46. The truck caught fire while pulling a travel trailer. The only way we were aware of it was a passing motorist saw flames shooting out from under the right side. As soon as we pulled over the truck immediately filled with smoke and the fire spread as the fuel puddled below the truck. Chrysler sent an inspector to look at the truck, not enough of the engine, passenger cabin, or front of the truck was left to make a conclusive cause. There was no indication we had an issue and if not for the fortunate timing of the passing motorist this could have turned out much worse. I was relating this story in a restaurant to my nephew when a passing waiter asked if it was a ECO diesel and I said yes, he related his story which was identical including the recall. I attempted to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher we kept in the truck but it was too big by the time we pulled over. We were traveling at less than 50MPH stop and go traffic which had just started moving.
