Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing is recalling certain 2024 RAV4 and 2025 Lexus NX vehicles

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2024 RAV4 and 2025 Lexus NX vehicles. Some of the bolts that secure the front brake caliper and the wheel hub bearing may be loose, which can result in a damaged caliper brake hose or possible wheel detachment.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 70 units affected.

Description:: Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2024 RAV4 and 2025 Lexus NX vehicles. Some of the bolts that secure the front brake caliper and the wheel hub bearing may be loose, which can result in a damaged caliper brake hose or possible wheel detachment.
Consequeces:: A damaged brake line can cause a brake fluid leak, reducing brake performance and increasing the distance required to stop the vehicle. Wheel detachment can result in a loss of vehicle control. Either condition increases the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: Dealers will inspect and tighten the front brake caliper mounting bracket and hub bearing bolts, as necessary, free of charge. In addition, any damaged components will be replaced, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 23, 2025. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 24TA14 and 24LA08.

2024 TOYOTA RAV4 Complaints
On 9/06/2026 my 2024 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid was involved in a severe collision where the impact occured on the drivers side at the passenger door. The vehicle spun several times before coming to a stop. During the spins the front passenger door flew opening. My wife was sitting in the passenger seat her seatbelt successfully restrianted her preventing ejection and injury. However the unlatching of a non impacted door under rotational forces represents a catastrophic structural or mechanical latch failure that poses an imminent risk occupant ejection.;
2025 LEXUS NX Complaints
The Lexus NX 350 has developed a very strong odor coming from the ventilation system. The smell is consistent with standing water, stale moisture, and/or mold. This is a significant health and safety concern, as I am worried there may be standing water or mold, potentially including black mold, within the HVAC/ventilation system. If mold or contaminated moisture is present, it could potentially be circulated throughout the vehicle and contribute to respiratory irritation or allergy symptoms. I brought this concern to the dealership’s attention during a routine service visit. The cabin air filter was replaced, but this did not resolve the odor or the underlying issue. The ventilation system and potential sources of moisture have not been adequately investigated or resolved, however online review do note this is a common issue with this model. Other than routine maintenance performed by the dealership, the vehicle has not been inspected or serviced elsewhere, and I have not experienced any other issues with the vehicle. I am requesting a thorough inspection of the HVAC/ventilation system and any potential sources of water intrusion or moisture to determine the cause of the odor and ensure the vehicle is safe to operate. I am very conserned with a silent health issue, lightly brished off that may lead to lung issues ond other respitory concerns. Please take this matter seriously.;
