Chrysler is recalling certain 2024 Jeep Wagoneer

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2024 Jeep Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer, Grand Cherokee, and Grand Cherokee L vehicles. Incorrect software in the rearview camera module may cause the rearview camera image not to display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 79,365 units affected.

Description:: Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2024 Jeep Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer, Grand Cherokee, and Grand Cherokee L vehicles. Incorrect software in the rearview camera module may cause the rearview camera image not to display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Consequeces:: A rearview camera image that does not display decreases the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: Dealers will update the rearview camera module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 21, 2025. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is D5B.

2024 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE L Complaints
While driving 45mph along a straight, open highway my vehicle suddenly shifted itself to park and stopped itself abruptly. I was then unable to shift the car out of park or move the brake or gas pedal or turn off the vehicle. This lasted for approximately 15 minutes and the car would not let me open the doors. All the dashboard lights were illuminated and my driver display screen stated if I took my foot off the brake the car would reverse. Eventually after 15 minutes of trying to shift and turn off the car it did shut off.;
2024 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE L Complaints

2024 JEEP GRAND WAGONEER L Complaints
The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the rear passenger's side window trim was flapping and had partially detached. Additionally, there was an unknown rear seat belt message displayed while starting and driving the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the rear passenger's side window trim needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V642000 (Structure); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.;
2024 JEEP WAGONEER L Complaints
While crossing an intersection, at low speeds (<5mph) the wagoneer immediately switched to park due to a failing auto park safety system. It left us stranded in the middle of the road while the car required two shut offs and restarts, all while watching cars drive by us. This has occurred twice in intersections, twice at stop signs, and three times pulling out of our driveway in the past three months.;
