Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing is recalling certain 2023-2024 Toyota Venza

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Toyota Venza, 2023-2025 RAV4 Prime, RAV4, Highlander, GR Corolla, Crown, 2024-2025 Lexus TX, LS, Toyota Tacoma, Grand Highlander, and 2025 Lexus RX, Toyota Crown Signia, Camry, RAV 4 Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV), and 4 Runner vehicles. Due to an error in the instrument panel software at vehicle startup, the instrument panel may fail to display vehicle speed, brake system, and tire pressure warning lights.

The recall was influenced by the Office of Defects Investigation with about 591,377 units affected.

Description:: Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Toyota Venza, 2023-2025 RAV4 Prime, RAV4, Highlander, GR Corolla, Crown, 2024-2025 Lexus TX, LS, Toyota Tacoma, Grand Highlander, and 2025 Lexus RX, Toyota Crown Signia, Camry, RAV 4 Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV), and 4 Runner vehicles. Due to an error in the instrument panel software at vehicle startup, the instrument panel may fail to display vehicle speed, brake system, and tire pressure warning lights.
Consequeces:: An instrument panel display that does not show critical information can increase the risk of a crash or injury.
Corrective action:: Dealers will update the instrument panel software over-the-air (OTA) for non-PHEV vehicles, free of charge. For PHEV vehicles, dealers will inspect the instrument panel assembly, and either replace it, or update the software, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed December 5, 2025. Additional letters will be sent, anticipated in May 2026. This is a phased recall. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 25TB08 and 25TA08. Lexus' numbers for this recall are 25LB05 and 25LA05.

2024 TOYOTA RAV4 PRIME Complaints
I am reporting a serious safety issue involving my vehicle where the braking system did not respond as expected during an emergency. While traveling southbound on I-575 in Georgia, I experienced a sudden tire blowout. As I moved to the shoulder and applied the brakes firmly, the vehicle did not slow down as expected. Despite pressing the brake pedal continuously and with significant force, the vehicle continued traveling for approximately 1–2 miles before finally coming to a stop near Exit 11. This was a highly dangerous situation, as the brakes appeared to be ineffective during a critical moment. Fortunately, there was no crash or injury. After the incident, the vehicle was towed to a Toyota service center (Cherokee Toyota) where the damaged tire was repaired/replaced. I was informed that no other mechanical issues were found. However, I remain concerned that the braking system may have a defect or intermittent issue that was not detected during a standard inspection. Given the severity of the incident, I request a thorough investigation into the braking system performance under such conditions. A failure or significant delay in braking response presents a major safety risk.;
2024 TOYOTA VENZA HYBRID Complaints
After coming to a stop at a STOP sign, the vehicle accelerated unintentionally, crossing the highway and hitting a parked car, causing injuries and totaling my vehicle. While my vehicle sustained a crumbled chassis, no airbags were deployed, causing injuries to the driver and passenger. Additionally, the emergency automatic brakes did not stop the car from ploughing into the parked car. The car was examined by the insurance carrier (AAA) and Toyota (the manufacturer), who sent out a technician to read the CDR data. The report was generated by BOSCH (a 3rd party hired by Toyota). The report generated by BOSCH claimed the accelerator was fully engaged at 100% and brakes were applied only 0.85s prior to the impact. This was the first such event; no prior warning lights/signals were reported on the dash. This was a new car purchased from the dealership with no prior accidents or incidents.;
2025 LEXUS LS HYBRID Complaints
My 2025 Lexus 700H F-Sport Bounces or wobbles when in Econ or Comfort. The suspension feels like bad shocks or springs. The Bouncing is so bad on highway turns that the driver must slow down over bumps to prevent the SUV from Bouncing off the road. At night one can easly see the wobble or bouncing of the SUV lights. I have made 3 trips to my Lexus Dealer, Jim Hudson Lexus in Columbia, SC. The last visit my truck was evaluated by a Field Technical Specialist, Mr Matt Hennessey. Matt stated this is the way they come to the Dealership. His solution was for me not to drive in Econ or Comfort or sell the vehicle.;
2025 LEXUS RX Complaints
The passenger rear tire (235/60R19 - Michelin Primacy A/S) randomly blew out while driving at high speeds on the highway. No trauma via a pothole or other object was noted. Tire was inflated to the manufacture recommended PSI (33 PSI). No signs came up until the tire blew out. The tire just randomly decided to give out while driving.;
