Lucid USA, Inc. (Lucid) is recalling certain 2022-2026 Air vehicles. The exterior lighting circuit may have insufficient overcurrent protection, allowing the circuit to overheat.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 27,185 units affected.

Description:: Lucid USA, Inc. (Lucid) is recalling certain 2022-2026 Air vehicles. The exterior lighting circuit may have insufficient overcurrent protection, allowing the circuit to overheat.
Consequeces:: An overheated circuit increases the risk of a fire. A loss of the center brake light or front lights can also decrease visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: Owners are advised to park their vehicle outside and away from structures until the recall remedy is completed. Lucid has released an over-the-air (OTA) software update, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 16, 2026. Owners may contact Lucid at 1-888-995-8243. Lucid's number for this recall is SR-26-06-0.

Specifically, I need to highlight the following critical issues: Severe Rear Windshield Condensation & Zero Visibility: Every morning, a thick blanket of condensation forms on the inside of the rear windshield. Their is no wiper and rear windows are heated electronically by pressing a rear defroster button on infotainment display. Even after running the rear defroster/heating continuously for 15-20 minutes, the condensation fails to clear. My commute requires entering the highway within five minutes of leaving home, making every morning drive hazardous due to zero rearward visibility. Failure of Brake Lights During Regenerative Braking: During highway driving, strong regenerative braking engages automatically to decelerate the car, yet the brake lights do not illuminate. Following drivers have no indication that the vehicle is rapidly slowing down, creating an extreme risk of a rear-end collision. Displays Remain Active When Locked & Charging: Both the primary instrument cluster and secondary infotainment screens stay fully powered on while the car is charging and completely locked, pointing to persistent electrical/software faults. Digital key malfunction: my digital key feature which I have to use since keyfob battery died. The digital key works but very inconsistent sometimes it take 5 minutes to get access to the car even though phone and app are continuously on. The door latches remain lock and sometimes I have to walk back and forth to be able to get noticed with digital key.;
