My daughter and son in law were driving to town when they heard God awful sound coming from under hood. It made sound like something in bicycle spokes. I could hear over phone. They stopped in auto store; they said was pistons and lever. They said it would be cheaper bY new car than fix it. They don't have money for either. Its 2000 Dodge Intrepid. I wouldn't have one; and car dealers sell them knowing they lemons.

Do you drive a 2000 DODGE INTREPID?

Just because a car has been recalled does not mean it is not a reliable car. Millions of cars get recalled every year. Recalls often involve problems that are rare but could cause a serious problem if they occur. So the risk to any given driver is often remote, even though there may be a few high-profile incidents traced to the problem.
