I purchase a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. At 32k miles my engine started knocking and stalling, i took it to the dealership where i was asked to pring in all my reciepts from oil changes, which i did. (this was in 2012 one year after i purchased it) i was told that i needed a new engine. They said I need a new engine because i drove the car with no oil, which wasnt true because i took all my reciepts from oil changes. Then i was told that because i did not change my oil EXACTLY every 3000 miles my warranty was void. After arguing with them for some time with no results i had to purchase a refurbished engine for $4500. And what do you know a few years later here comes the recall with exactly the problems i reported. I have put into the recall campaign for a refund but im not holding my breath. If anyone has recieved a refund on this please let me know

My 2011 Hyundai Sonata feels like it wont grip the road. I put on new tires and it still wont grip. the steering feels very lose, in fact I slid and hit a guardrail in a small amount of slush. I feel very unsafe in this car and of course, the dealership finds nothing wrong!!! They sold me an overpriced car which I hate!

We took our Sonata in for service on a small interior problem on the 24th of Sept and they did the recall check and update on the ESP. The car has never had a steering problem and we have been very happy with the vehicle as well as the dealership.

Do you drive a 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA?

Just because a car has been recalled does not mean it is not a reliable car. Millions of cars get recalled every year. Recalls often involve problems that are rare but could cause a serious problem if they occur. So the risk to any given driver is often remote, even though there may be a few high-profile incidents traced to the problem.
