Have had the ignition key lockup and not turn to start. Once took the whole steering wheel apart to get the thing to start and unblock my driveway. I found that a good straight line whack on the end of the key while in the lock would allow it to turn and start. I first read about using the bottom of their shoe. I now carry a rubber ended item to tap the key. I.E. get a small rubber hammer. leave it in the car.

Runs great. Beside rust is so bad if I go down a dirt road I'm eating dust, the only other issues are electrical. Dash goes in and out, don't know speed, mileage, how much gas I have, ect. Sometime key will not turn and I have to wait and retry several time before it will work or I get stranded, I go back the next day and it starts with no problems. Electrical problem in the past that was because of a blowen fuse. this time still unknown changed the starter it ran (without the dash panel) for a few days, then started to have to be jumped again. Disconnected the Negative battery post to check the alternator and when it was put back on all hell broke loose. Interior lights and control panel began to blink on and off, electrical box under the front hood hummed, all with no key in the ignition. When we put the key in it would not turn over, only clicked. We disconnected the battery to stop everything from blinking. Won't buy another Chrysler. This is the second one I have owned

Hello, I'm having trouble finding replacement parts for my car. It is a 1999 Plymoth Grtand Voyager. I'm also having an electrical issue.. the blower motor relay connector keeps burning out & I know that there is a short in the Female 4 Way Cooling Fan Relay Connector. If I can order the part great, if not & you can recommend a local mechanic they'd be great. 559-824-4652

Do you drive a 1999 PLYMOUTH GRAND VOYAGER?

Just because a car has been recalled does not mean it is not a reliable car. Millions of cars get recalled every year. Recalls often involve problems that are rare but could cause a serious problem if they occur. So the risk to any given driver is often remote, even though there may be a few high-profile incidents traced to the problem.
