The headrest, which controls harness height, fails to lock into any of the predetermined heights except for the top slot. The headrest should move up and down freely when the handle button is depressed, then it should lock into place automatically at the closest height setting when the handle is released. Instead the headrest and harness move and fall freely even when the handle is not depressed.

I have seen 4/5 Maxi Cosi Pria 85 and Pria Max car seats in person the last few months and they all had head rests that were hard/impossible to ingage when adjusting height. They just slid up and down on the track instead of locking into place. I have a videos of 2 different ones sliding up and down.

*The chest clip failed. At the beginning, we had a very hard time unlatching the chest clip to where we thought we needed to cut it. Later, the chest clip started to become very loose to where my son could undo it by just touching it, then one evening it did not latch on at all. *It is available for inspection upon request. *The car seat has not been inspected by anyone. The child seat is temporarily in my home until it is in the clear to be discarded after the recall. I have not notified Maxi Cosi.
